Steven F. Bell brings over 20 years of distinguished leadership in human resources, serving as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Diamond Resorts and its predecessor from May 2006 to August 2021. Prior to his tenure at Diamond Resorts, Mr. Bell held top-tier executive HR positions across various industries, including hospitality, finance, and administration, with renowned organizations such as Caesars Entertainment Inc., Teligent, American Express, Comsat, and Sprint.

Human Resources Expertise:

  • Executive Compensation: Architect of comprehensive executive compensation programs for both public and private companies, including the development of stock options, Management Incentive Plans (MIPs), Long-Term Incentive Plans (LTIPs), and performance-based metrics.

  • Employee Benefits: Pioneered self-insured benefits programs tailored for hospitality workforces, driving service level enhancements and cost reductions. Achieved $45 million in savings over five years through streamlined plan administration and strategic negotiations with service providers.

  • Training and Retention: Developed and implemented robust employee training and retention initiatives, including the "University of Excellence," offering over 100 modules designed to enhance job-specific skills (e.g., customer service) and general life skills (e.g., financial literacy).

  • International Compensation: Extensive experience in navigating international employment compensation and work rules, with a strong focus on the European Union, including expertise in addressing pre- and post-Brexit employment challenges.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: Spearheaded diversity and inclusion initiatives within both public and private sectors, driving meaningful change across organizational cultures.

Mergers and Acquisitions Expertise:

  • Gaming Industry Integration: Led the successful merger integration and transition of two major gaming organizations, overseeing 100,000 employees. Designed and implemented retention compensation and benefits programs to ensure seamless transitions.

  • Hospitality M&A: Directed the human resources integration of eight corporate acquisitions into a unified hospitality operations platform, standardizing compensation and benefits across multiple U.S. and international locations.

Union and Work Council Expertise:

  • Union Negotiations: Led numerous successful union contract negotiations, fostering positive labor relations and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Work Council Engagement: Directed multiple work council negotiations throughout the European Union, ensuring compliance and alignment with regional employment regulations.
